About the project

Lendlease is well known globally as one of the leading building companies in its field, delivering massive scale projects that completely revitalise locations. Such was the case here in their complete recreation of the Barngaroo South precinct in Sydney.

Once just a concrete slab where ships would dock at port, the Barangaroo South location is now teeming with activity - from ferries, to restaurants and bars, to new train stations, residential towers and 3 beautiful office buildings. It’s truly remarkable.

I say all this having spent a week there filming this stunning location, right on the waters edge. Our commission was to capture the changes that had occurred, as well as interview key people that were involved in making it happen, all to put together a gala and historical film celebrating the 10 years it took for them to get from where they started to where the precinct is now.

This project truly had it all. Stunning weather, gorgeous new buildings, interviews with some of the most prominent business people and politicians in the world - including Kristina Keneally, former premier of NSW, the NSW chair of KMPG, The Chief Executive of Infrastructure NSW, Senior Project Directors for the project and many more, and most importantly of all the incredible opportunity to showcase one of the jewels of Australia, right in the heart of our capital city.

This film was created under the company 50 Kal Communications under Dieter Kahsnitz, which is now operating as Peaks Film Co under Michael Peacock.
